Job Summary

As an Operations Engineer, your role will be to integrate our messaging products with cloud infrastructure and deploy it on cloud fabric, implement CI automation to validate and deploy products and applications in the cloud, assist team members in troubleshooting cloud integration issues, support third-party providers, and participate in on-call rotations supporting staging and production deployments. A successful candidate will be a reliable, motivated, self-starter capable of working well independently and with a distributed group of engineers.

Job Requirements

  • Three+ years experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Experience working with and setting up infrastructure on at least one of the following: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Ability to identify and mitigate cloud issues and characterize defects
  • Strong verbal and writing skills to communicate across the organization

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency on the command line (shell, ssh) and familiarity with Linux environments
  • Working knowledge of git and CI tooling
  • Experience in observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the Elastic Stack
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, cloud authorization and authentication mechanisms
  • Integration glue development in a high-level language such as Go
