Job Summary

As a DevOps engineer, your role will be to design and manage code-driven deployments of our products to various cloud fabrics, design and manage monitoring, implement continuous deployment to validate and deploy our product; to assist team members in troubleshooting cloud integration issues, support our developers and customer success teams in ensuring reliable service, and participate in on-call rotations supporting staging and production deployments. A successful candidate will be a reliable and motivated self-starter capable or working well independently and with a distributed group of engineers, communicating clearly in English and in code.

Job Requirements

  • Three+ years experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Six+ years experience either programming or managing computing systems
  • Experience working with and setting up infrastructure on at least one of the following: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Ability to identify and mitigate cloud issues and characterize defects
  • Ability to write/maintain reliable tools in a high-level language such as Go or Python
  • Strong verbal and writing skills to communicate across the organization

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency on the command line (shell, ssh) and familiarity with Linux environments
  • Working knowledge of git and CI tooling
  • Experience in observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the Elastic Stack
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, cloud authorization and authentication mechanisms
  • Ability to setup configuration management for use by others
  • A drive to understand the technology you use, at least one level deeper than you need on a daily basis
